I have a travel log topic that I want people to read but not write to. I have changed the security so the add/post a comment is removed but can't find a way to remove this page from the pull down list in the get published section. thanks

The correct way would be to create a new group (e.g. "Travel Log Group"
and assign the Travel Log topic to that group. Then only members should be able to post to that topic.
Unfortunately, this doesn't work correctly in Geeklog 1.3.5sr2 - the submission form always lists all the topics, even if you shouldn't have access to it.
This bug has already been fixed in CVS.
