links count the story as read?

Once someone clicks on a link in a story, is there any way to make the story count as read?

Well, as soon as you click on a link, you are taken directly to wherever the link points to, so there's no chance to do anything (e.g. increase the 'read' counter) before you leave your site. Your best bet would be to implement a "portal" redirect like the one that Geeklog uses to count hits on links. But you would have to code that into your story's links by hand ... bye, Dirk

or only put links in the 'more info' or 'read more' section, whatever it's called. a bit of a kludge but it works.
