I am getting the following error message when trying to install
Fatal error: Call to undefined function: mysql_connect() in /var/www/geeklog-1.3.8-1sr4/system/databases/mysql.class.php on line 108

If you're using RedHat oder Fedora Linux, you will need to install another RPM. See here for example.
