We removed Sendmail and installed Qmail + Squirrelmail + EZMLM + MYSQL + PHP + GL-1.3.7 on a RH 8.0 system with all of the LATEST versions of everything. GL won't E-mail - which makes users unhappy when we don't set up their accounts (strange that they or the admin don't get an error message on this. I searched the archives but nada! Any pointers? Other than this GL works like a charm!

Can you send email using PHP's mail() function? Because that's what Geeklog does ... I'd guess this is a problem with your PHP / email setup, not a Geeklog issue. bye, Dirk

Thanks Dirk. We are looking into the PHP side of things and agree that that is where the problem lies (lays or whatever). BTW, I think GL has a terrific future. Keep up the good work you guys! Thanks, Indy

My own geeklog email issues turned out to be a DNS resolver issue; the resolv.conf wasn't pointed at a real DNS server.
