News feed with images

I created a news feed (avantgo format) that would include 1 title + introtext. This part works fine but the introtext includes a small image that I would like to be displayed in the feed however the image code get stripped off.
What and where is the code responsible for stripping of e.g. images.

Tiny winy modification of formatContent function in the feed writer and everything works.
