Themes - Admin only?

I've disabled users allowed to change themes in my config.php. HOWEVER...I would like to create a new design for my site, and would like to upload it as a theme and edit it from there. Is there a way to set it so that the admin only can change themes for himself? Or would it be possible to: 1) Enable users changing themes 2) Change my theme to NEWDESIGN 3) Disable users changing themes Or would that change my theme back to the defeault one?

You could install the theme swapper block and make it only visible to the Admin.

The name of the theme is stored in the database. If no directory of that name exists, it falls back to the default theme. Performance-wise it would be better, though, to reset the theme name in the database to NULL for all users. The field is 'theme' in table gl_users.

bye, Dirk
