Here's what I would like to do. I would like to create a more user friendly format for registered users to submit information for publication on the website.
Most people are not writers, and they don't know how to format html, or post an image using brackets, stuff like that.
When users click on "Contribute" they get taken to a form. They fill out the details as requested on the form, and that gets posted as an article.
The form would lead them through a series of questions or prompt them to provide information. The form can be tailored to any specific requirements, add fields, etc.
Maybe these kinds of registered users (regular contributors) could be entered into a specific group?
So, how do I get from here to there? Any suggestions? Thanks.
Don

Using the advance editor would remove the problem of your users knowing html.
I also seem to remember a toolbar plugin that added easier image uploading. I am not sure if it works still or not.
What other fields are you looking at for the user to submit?

I'm trying to set something up so that readers can quickly and easily submit an article for publication.
This would be for local news, the things they see happening where they are.
I'm would like to create a form or some sort of interface that makes it very (very) simple and self explanatory, for people who don't work on websites or write code all day.
Fill in the blank, that sort of thing. What happened, when, where, who is involved - add a photo - submit.
