Running GL 1.7.2. How do I make the space between a Static Page and footer go away? Where the edit icon would be when logged in. I don't care if I lose the edit icon when logged in.
Here's what it looks like as a Static Page:
http://boatboymarinetraining.com/staticpages/index.php?page=about_us
I want it to look like this Story version:
http://boatboymarinetraining.com/article.php?story=about_us
There is no sidebar, it's just html. I need it NOT to have a true sidebar, and I need it to be a Static Page not a Story.
Thanks,
~Bob

The space line is create by the code
Text Formatted Code
<p class="aligncenter"><span style="padding-left: 5px; padding-right: 5px; visibility: hidden;">|</span> </p>
Is this code is in your static page ?

Thanks for the response Ben,
Looks like you're correct, that line of code is creating the space.
The code however is not in the static page itself.
I BELIEVE it's generated by some thtml file when checking to see if the user is logged in. (If so, the edit pencil appears in the center of the created space.)
I'd like to know which thtml file performs this function so I can strip out the offending code, thereby eliminating the space.
Thanks,
~Bob

That should be plugins/staticpages/templates/staticpage.thtml

OK, I found it.
<p class="aligncenter">{lastupdate}<span style="padding-left:5px;padding-right:5px;visibility:{info_separator}">|</span>{hits} {print_icon}{edit_icon}</p>
That line of code is in the staticpage.thtml file located in the plugins/staticpages/templates folder. I commented it out and problem solved.
Thanks,
~Bob
