Hi everyone,
I'm having a couple strange issues with the multilingual option in Gl 1.7, as I manage to have the site language changed through the drop down menu that I configured (admin menu, forms, etc) but instead of showing the correct stories whithin a topic, based on the language I choose, I see all the stories I wrote, in every language, listed on the topic page.
For example, I have a 'test' topic and a test_en, test_pt and test_es stories for that topic. No matter what language I choose, I see all three stories under the 'test' topic. I've double checked the shortcuts and everything is correct.
Also they all dissapeared from the front page though they are configured to be there. I get an empty front page...
I would really apreciate any sugestion If anyone has a clue of what might be going on.
Thanks a lot!

Do the story ids follow the same _en / _pt / _es pattern?

Hi Dirk,
Yes, my stories id's are test_en, test_pt and test_es, and my shortcuts for language and language files are en, pt and es... weird.
Thanks!

I configured the shortcuts in the language config as follows:
language files:
en - english
pt - portuguese
es - spanish
language:
en - English
pt - Portuguese
es - Spanish
An I deleted all the language files other than those.
Actually I have no probles changing the language for the site. Admin menu and forms change just right, and I just tried creating three blocks (no shortcut, _pt and _es) and they actually change when I change the language. It's just with the stories that doesn´t work.
Does the fact that they don't show on the front page, though they should, might be a hint for something?
Thanks, Dirk.
