Hello everybody,
Anyone willing to test out a new plugin? If you are...let me know by sending me an email. 8)
I need feedback to create the documentation before the official release.
With this plugin you can display google maps, set markers with infowindows, users can submit new markers (but can't edit yet).

Thank you to first testers. I need to see if I can do something for old php version but I noted Geeklog next release (1.7.0) will need php 4.4.4 minimum and next one in november will need php 5.
You can see a map demo (GSCO2010)
here[*1] and if you have an account you can also try the marker submission form.

I installed the plugin without problems and I am impressed with the configuration options available. I like the way I can add markers there is just 1 problem I cannot see the maps.
I do have a lot of other junk on the site so I expect I will have to remove some.
If any can tell me what is conflicting with the map I would be happy to know about it.
I will leave 1 map here for anyone to look at what is wrong

Yes I have done that, The Geocoder map seems to work after some time.

Tor,
Make sure there is a value for Max ads on a map (0,1,2,3...) in the config area, even if "Show google ads on map" is set to "No".
Thanks,

In the list of maps there is a dot under Active and Hidden, In the configuration I have set "no" to hidden. I have tried it with yes but still no difference.
Do you want to log in and look ?

The Map is working but for some reason the map takes a while to load, I know the Plugin works faster because I have installed the plugin on another geeklog site.
You can see my slow example here
http://tor.id.au/maps/index.php?mode=map&mid=0&name=Global+Map
Can you tell me how to put a click-able link into the marker all my attempts just show the link as text.
Also, I use Tags in my Articles for example Tag: Bathurst with brackets, enables users to click on the word to get all the articles about Bathurst - I would like to put that in the marker if possible.
And I would like to "Display" the Map in the Article rather than having a link to the Map...
Apart from that I think it is a great plugin and I can see you have put in a lot of work to make it happen Thanks again...

Hi,
You can check your site performence with
this tool [*3] .
Today you can only use autotags on the ressources tab.
With this beta version you can show a marker in a article with autotag: marker. Autotag: maps only show a link to the map.
Displaying maps in article will be available in the first official release with autotag: map
I'm now focused on another new plugin (call classifieds) and I will continue my work on plugin maps in october.

Hi, I have fixed the performance issue by reducing the size of the side blocks everything is going smoothly now.
Make sure you include Re billing (eg. subscriptions) in your call classifieds plugin.
