I would like to restrict access to my entire Geeklog installation to registered members in a specific group. In addition, I would like a "request access" link on the login page. How can I do this?
Thanks!

Set the permissions on all Geeklog objects (stories, topics, blocks, etc.) such that anonymous users can't see them - with the exception of the User Functions block. Set $_CONF['loginrequired'] = 1 (or equivalent in the Configuration admin panel in 1.5.0). Also disable new user registration.
Then you could either post a story, visible for anonymous users, explaining how to get a password, or use a static page as a centerblock.
bye, Dirk

Ah, that would work. Thanks!
Is there a way to bulk update the permissions on, say, 150 stories?

Text Formatted Code
UPDATE gl_stories SET perm_anon = 0;
That would hide all stories from anonymous users.
