How does a logged in user gain access to the FCKEditor when contributing an article? As an admin of your own site and have the advanced editor enabled, I've been using it for a few years now. However, I never asked or seen where it was posted so that logged in users could use it. How do I enable this option for them? Either on 141 or 15.

The submission screens do not have the advanced editor enabled. Only the editor screens do.

Is there any way to have fckeditor for submission of stories available for normal users?

in Configuration - Users and Submissions set Advanced editor to true.
It works on my site even if you're not logged in.

Yes, it works if if toggle advanced feature in submissions, however users will not have the "full" fckeditor features as does administrators. If you want users to have "full" fckeditor features you have to give them admin rights.
Although, it is not really worth it, as fckeditor functionality in geeklog is not impressive at all, I would rate fckeditor functionality at about 30%, at best.
I edit most of my stuff in dreamweaver and paste it to a static page. :banghead:

I already set this configuration before but it seems to be a bug in the (dutch) geeklog version. As I log in anonymously, I get 2 choices in the combo: standard is the normal editor and second option is html editor(it doesn't has advanced editor). When I switch to this html editor, it shows the fckeditor.

The first example that you described, logged anonymous, is the standard for me to, however if you log in as admin and contribute a story you should get many more options, five option tabs at the top of the story editor, a "post mode" option, and a "tool bar" selection option in the fckeditor tool bar.
This option only works if you have advanced editor set to "true" in configuration/user submissions/submission settings.
Nevertheless, it is nearly a waist of time, as many of the options in fckeditor do not work ... it would be nice if they did.
I feel that many "users" possibly leave sites with not so user friendly posting options. users tend to want to "click, upload, submit and go. As it stands with my site, you have to use autotags - [image1], [image2] then upload the images in that sequence; sometimes they do not work the first time as there seems to be a glitch in the preview or submit option in story editor.
I am not a programer, so I am not going to complain to much, however a usable fckeditor would be nice.

Some features of FCKed may not seem to work because some HTML is being erased as precaution
http://www.geeklog.net/faqman/index.php?op=view&t=32[*1]
The upload with [image1], [image2] etc. should work without problems. It even scales down the pics. You can edit the icons in the FCKed as you please and delete the upload icon.
You can configure FCKeditor
http://docs.fckeditor.net/[*2] to show a different number of lines / features.
