Like I wrote in
Geeklog v1.5.0 BETA 2:
I see Gibberish and only non Unicode languages in the language selection box.
It's because the new siteconfig.php has kept the default $_CONF['default_charset'] = 'iso-8859-1'; instead of $_CONF['default_charset'] = 'utf-8'; It should have changed automatically like in BETA 1. Just like $_CONF['path'] was somehow changed from the default
Also:
The order of the options is still the same, but two of them had the same sort_order value.
what is the relevant SQL line to fix this?
And is there anything else changed in the databse from BETA 2?

These are all non-issues. Upgrades from the betas aren't supported (nothing new here, we never supported pre-release versions) and the problems don't occur when upgrading from an earlier release.
Sorry, but both betas carried a warning not to use them for "live" sites yet. If you want to live on the edge, you should understand enough of the source to figure these things out on your own.
bye, Dirk

But when one will upgrade from a v1.5.5 to v1.6.0, will it detect UTF-8 automatically?
Also, I still hope you would change the word "vote" to "enter poll" in multi-questions polls.

The install script can now also be localized, but it's hardcoded to LTR.
