Recently i screwed up an install of geeklog and the forum pluggin, i ended up deleting something but i did get the site somewhat repaired. The problem is that i have several old posts that i had a backup of that i was unable to restore. But its not to hard for me to add them in manually via my hosting companies sql interface. The only problem is that if i add them to the gl_forum_topic table and fill out all the appropriate fields the topics dont show in the forums. Is there another table that needs to be modifed to show these posts?
Also is there a plugin or option to time delay posts? For example i post stories for a later date when i go on vacation and they dont show up until that date, it would be nice to do the same for forum posts that way i can post the story and they can comment in the forums on it at the same time.

I leave the forum question for Blaine to answer ...
Geeklog can already do time-delayed postings. Just set the publish date in the story editor to some time in the future.

Geeklog can do the time delay like you said but what about time delay in the forum postings. Also i did add some of the posts via sql to the gl_forum_topics and they do show in the forums but they show on the last page then i modified gl_forum_log to match but still the posts show on the last page of the forum.
