The story of my client and his GL install continues...
Talked to him this afternoon and bought some time on the FCKEditor issue I posted about in General Help (that one still has me scratching my head), but he suggested an alternative that I'd like to find out the possibility of pulling off.
In addition to posting news articles and press releases to his site, he also uploads .pdfs and Word docs of the news stories and .pdfs using filemgt. What he was wondering was if it was possible to display the most recent 3 uploaded files as a centerblock on the home page while still displaying all the uploaded files on the files page.
Has such a thing been attempted in GL? Any input would be appreciated.

What are you uploading the files with? If you're using File Management or Media Gallery, it shouldn't be too hard to write a little centerblock function for them to do that.
If you're using FCKeditor for the upload, it should still be possible (e.g. using PHP in a static page), but it's probably slightly more work since you have to dig around on the file system.

He's using File Management. FCK is not working that well for him.
