I've noticed that Forum version 2.6 is exactly the same as this forum. My question is this: How do you post pictures when posting a new topic? How do you utilize the youtube plugin?
Do you simply put [youtube: id] and [image1] etc? Because that... doesn't work.
Please help!

The YouTube plugin isn't installed on geeklog.net, so those tags won't work here. And the [imageX] syntax only works in Geeklog's story editor.
In general, letting users post images poses a security risk and shouldn't be enabled anyway.

Well, I am wondering the same thing about photos in the forums 2.6. I don't know about images as a security risk either. If you limit the mime types to gif and jpg and png, I really don't see how this could be a risk.
Does Forum 2.6 support image inclusion in posts? I looked in the config.php and didn't see any settings for it.

If you allow people to embed images hosted elsewhere (e.g. by allowing the <img> tag), then there are ways ...

Forum v2.6 does support the
img BBCode, so you can embed images using the following:
TEXT Formatted Code
[img]http://someurlhere.com/picture.jpg[/img]
The site admin can turn off the
img BBcode if they are worried about inappropriate images being included in forum posts (it is disabled here at geeklog.net).
Thanks!

Thanks for the img bb code. What about image uploading, like in the photo gallery? Is there a hack to get forum to allow this functionality. It's a pretty standard forum feature in other systems. I don't know why it's not included with GL.
