howdy,
Geeklog 1.4 is set to default to hebrew.
i've installed Media Gallery successfully.
but all i see is gibberish.
i narrowed this down to Media Gallery having Windows encoding, while Geeklog uses UTF-8.
if i change encoding in a browser to Windows, then Geeklog itself shows as gibberish.
how/where/what do i set UTF-8 for Media Gallery?
thank you

arturs,
There should not be anything special you have to do for Media Gallery to support the UTF-8 encoding. I will admit, I am not an expert on UTF-8 and how it works.
But, I do know of at least 3 other Hebrew sites run by a gentleman named LWC. See http://lior.weissbrod.com/
Hopefully LWC will see this post and give some guidance on how he made all this work together. I'll also post this message at the Media Gallery Support site (http://www.mediagallery.org) as I know LWC visits it often too.
Thanks!
Mark

you should be able to convert the plugin's language file to utf-8 using any quality text editor. I assume that MG utilizes a language file and once converted it should solve your garbling problem.
Editplus, i believe, allows you to save as utf-8 and Komodo allows you to edit the file's properties including the encoding.

Media Gallery's Hebrew language file is already UTF-8, LWC creates and maintains it. I don't edit it for fear I will break the UTF encoding.
