Hello! About 2 weeks ago I opened a file in Wordpad to make some corrections (like I always do). I added one small paragraph and saved info. The file size jumped from 1.13 MB to 1.3 MB. Everytime I now open this file and then save, the file size jumps to an extremely larger size (even if I make no changes to this file). This only happens to this one file. My other files are not affected. What's going on? How did this happen (want to avoid problem in future)? How do I correct this problem? I deleted this file and then copied the back-up from my 3 1/2 floppy, but then I still have the same problem with this file. I need this file (family genealogy) and need to make corrections and additions without causing the huge jump in file size. Thanks, Barbara Estabrook (barbara54@juno.com)

just my wild guess.. it has something to do with word wrap.. try to use editpad lite ..& view the file, edit with no word wrap option.
good luck..
