I need to find out which file to edit to change the site content on my geeklog site. I have changed some of the content, ie..polls, welcome note. but I can't for the life of me remember which file I edited to do that. I am trying to change the block on the left. Events, there are currently no events. I have some events coming up and want to put them in that block but don't know how.

Why don't you have a look at the
FAQ[*1]

Thanks beewee, looked at the FAQ, what I am wanting to do is not covered in there. I don't want to change the text, language, etc...
What file do I edit so that instead of my site saying "Welcome to Geeklog" it will say "blah, blah, blah"?

The welcome message is comprised of multiple 'parts'.
The words "Welcome to" is found inside language/english.php around line 113.
The next part "Geeklog" comes from your config.php file inside the variable $_CONF['site_name'].
If you'd like to take even more control, edit layout/your-theme/header.thtml. Towards the bottom of the file, find {welcome_msg} and replace it with whatever text you'd like it to display. Be forwarned however, this change will need to be performed in each theme you use, and anytime you download and install an updated version of the theme. It is for this reason that I try to keep all my textual modifications inside the language file.
Hope this helps.
