Good afternoon! Brand new to Geeklog here and have the following parse error from a static page
Parse error: parse error, unexpected '/' in /home/cpsc445/public_html/staticpages/index.php on line 112.
The code in question is as follows:
if ($_CONF['hideprintericon'] == 0) {
$retval .= '
';
}
Thanks a lot,
sjs

Here is the snippet of code that I need help with. Line 112 starts on the second line of this where it says $retval :
if ($_CONF['hideprintericon'] == 0) {
$retval .= '
';
}

In case you haven't noticed by now: Geeklog removes some HTML from your posts. If you want to post HTML or PHP code, use the [ CODE ] button in the forum's editor.
Having said that: Try what vadertech suggested. Line 112 is a pretty long line - it may have been corrupted when you uploaded the file the first time around.
bye, Dirk

Sorry about that, guys. The line I'm trying to fix looks like this:
$retval.='<a href="'./construction.htm/staticpages/index.php?page.$page. '&. mode = print.'"><img src ="'.$CONF['layout_url'] .'/images/print.gif'" alt="'.$LANG01[65]."'title="'.$LANG_STATIC['printable_format']."'border="0"></a>';

Why are you even editing this file? You only have to change your paths in config.php (and make that one change in lib-common.php) and Geeklog will pick up everything from there automatically.

Dirk,
Thanks for the help, but I'm really stupid here on Geeklog. I have spent one entire afternoon looking through files trying to complete a school project before Sunday night and not getting anywhere. Can you point to where in those files to look? Please and thank you.
