I just put same sample story on my page and u can see that text is too close to my picture
so what to do
is there a solution

try putting the tag
between the image and your text. that should fix it.

oh, i see. i hadn't checked out the site first. i'm not sure. did this just start happening? none of the other stories have that issue.

you other story images are separated from the text by table cells. because the top story (i assume that is the one you are talking about) is just the 'regular' format, I suggest adding some padding to your css rule for the image.
try:
.storycontent img {padding: 2px;}

I know this is a very old post.. but facing the same issue. When I add my featured story, there's no padding around the image. I used firebug to determine where it's pulling the image attributes from in the css file. If I add 3pm of padding around the pic, it also adds that to my header image (which creates a very poor looking misplaced horizontal line). Is there a way I can specify that just the stories get picture padding?
I'm using the 'Colors' theme.
Current style shows:
Text Formatted Code
.story-body {
/* this is the actual content of the story */
padding:3px;
}

Nevermind.. I finally figured out it was the floatleft class. Just figuring out css. Thanks though..
