First of all, I love Geeklog!
There is, however, one feature that I would like to see improved and that is the comments function, which seems rather minimalist in comparison to other blogging software.
What I would like to have are fields for the commenter's name (when people want to leave comments on an article without registering -- which I have configured Geeklog to allow), url, and email address, not just a username or "anonymous" and the text of the comment itself.
I realize that such a modification involves adding those fields to the MYSQL database and then editing the code in comment.php and the related thtml templates.
Although I have some of the skills needed to do such a modification myself, my PHP -- which I have been studying intermittenetly for the past 2 months -- is rather weak (this becomes quite evident as I peruse the elegantly written Geeklog source) and I am uncertain about what types of database fields would need to be added.
I would greatly appreciate any assistance with this endeavor.
