I have a modded Geeklog install working for me and another one I play with. Here is a list of things I think Geeklog should have. Please Note: A lot of these features I would probably never use myself and probably aren't possible.
1. The ability to easily change alert messages and alert emails.
2. The ability to access server-type things through geeklog, like sub-domains and server compacity.
3. The ability to change the dash (-) in the tittle to something else.
4. The ability to have automatic repetition of specified calendar events.
5. Make the calendar completely vCal compatible, like let you export and import vCal files.
6. Allow more user-configurable hompages. The option to give users the ability to reorder blocks and even put in new portal blocks for themselves for would be nice.
7. The ability to have geeklog auto-specify a tittle sensitive story ID. Example:
A story with the title "Cool Hack" would have an ID of "cool_hack"
This is good for search engines.
8. The ability to have geeklog automatically do resource saving things like strip out local images or stop displaying portal blocks in the event of VERY heavy traffic.
9. Google like site search. Let the terms that can be used in the geeklog search box that of Google.
10. The ability to have "(-:" converted to a picture in story comments etc.
11. The ability to have story titles actually be images.
UPDATE: Here are some more ideas I have:
12. The ability to let each story's comments have it's own RSS feed would be fun.
13. My other blogging software (Google's Blogger) babies be by automatically replacing single hard-returns entered in the Post Editor with with single break tag in my blog, and replacing two hard-returns with with two break tags. I think geeklog should have an option to turn this on (other then just using text mode).
14. Ability for users to receive emails if their is a response to a comment they made.
15. The ability for Geeklog to automatically make sure that it's RSS feed is valid.
16. It would be nice if Geeklog could email me everytime their was problem.
There you go. I would like to know what you guys think.

This is completely out of Geeklog's realm. Things like that depend on the setup of your webserver and differ widely from one server to another.

There's an API that plugins could hook into to make that possible. The API is going to change in 1.3.12, though. But this is something that could (and should, IMO) be done in a plugin.
bye, Dirk

Hmmm....
I really can't see why a cms should be responsible for server settings.

It would be nice to be able to control everything from one place.

I would like to see a feature for admins, showing what a user is currently viewing on your site(galleries,forums,news...), actually I would like that right now

AFAIK phpBB has such a feature. You can see a list of logged in users and when you place a coursor over a name you can see their time spent and the location.
