In my site that has the older version of geeklog and forums - there are forum posts that show up in a centerblock ... the new forums and new GL installation I have on my other site doesn't have that.
I can't figure out how to make it show up. Will someone point out to me how to do it? Yes, I accept I'm being stupid - but I still want that block.

One more question... the "posted by" part of that centerblock showing of the forums isn't there in this newest release.
I did the "fix" you had for this on the other version, the one that said to add the following code to the public_html/forum/index.php:
if($lastpost['uid'] > 0) {
$by = '<A HREF="' .$_CONF['site_url'] .'/users.php?mode=profile&uid=' .$lastpost['uid']. '">' .$lastpost['name']. '</A>';
} else {
$by = $lastpost['name'];
}
I did put this just above the part of the code you cited, too, but it didn't change that problem. Is this something that can be adjusted?
I don't see where you can centerblock in the forum settings.
The centerblock settings should be between the Topic and the Rank settings.
Make sure you use the current release of the Forum plugin.
