I just loaded the new forums up on my new GL installation - and while I do have the forums link in my admin block - I don't see it in the menu area for the header... I'm only using the Professional theme, by the way.
I did append the theme's style.css file with the extra css stuff that came with the forums.

Is this on 1.3.10? If so, open your config.php and uncomment the line
// 'plugins' // links added by plugins, like {plg_menu_elements}
for the $_CONF['menu_elements'] array.
bye, Dirk

bye, Dirk
Tried that before and get this error:
Parse error: parse error, unexpected T_CONSTANT_ENCAPSED_STRING, expecting ')' in /www/w/a/mysite/mydirectory/config.php on line 209
That line, 209 is the line you just referenced.

Make sure the last active line before that one ends with a comma.

bye, Dirk
Yep, that was it. The line that caused my problem was this one:
'stats' // link to site stats
// 'prefs', // link to user's preferences
'plugins' // links added by plugins, like {plg_menu_elements}
the 'stats' entry was missing the comma. I put it back and uploaded the file and now I see the forums link.
Thanks, Dirk!
