I have installed geeklog many time.
This time is the first on sourceforge.net
After the installation step2 complete, I get this error:
Template Error: set_root: layout/clean is not a directory.
Halted.
the URL is showing success.php
THe website is running, but it must be missing something, as I can't login as admin. The password is correct inside the database.
I checked and config.php is OK.
I took a fresh config.php with default theme also, and it still has the same error.
I changed permission everything under public_html to 755 also, still same problem.
ANy help is greatly appreciated.
Tks
John

Actually yes. Most probably you have register_globals=off
and it needs to be set to
register_globals=on
It sits in php.ini

Thank you. I'll search to see how to set php.ini for sourceforge.net

I set it in both
ini_set("register_globals", "1");
in index.php
and
.htaccess
php_value register_globals 1
since I can not edit php.ini directly.
I still get kick out when login, or when register as new user:

I check register_globals with
phpinfo();
?>
and it said
register_globals On On
I still can't login as admin or create a new account.
The DB shows the password for admin is correct.

There's a "verbose" option in system/lib-sessions.php

Current setting
$_CONF['cookiedomain'] = '.sf.net'; // e.g. '.example.com'
I tried with Linux and Firefox browser, same problem.
I moved everything to local linux machine, it works.
Why it doesn't work on sourceforge.net? :-)
$_CONF['cookiedomain'] = '.sf.net';
But all .sf.net domains redirect to .sourceforge.net, so you should be using this (also for the $_CONF['site_url']).

Wow, It worked. Thank you everyone & Dirk for your help.
Both domain must be set to sourceforge.net, not sf.net.
Thank you mucho.
