Dirk,
I just added
a feature request[*1] for a simple extra field on each static page allowing users to enter a number to order pages in the menu bar much as topics and blocks are ordered. Any chance of getting into a release or should I hack my own?
Cheers,
Euan.

To quote the list of changes for the upcoming Geeklog 1.3.10
/ Static Pages 1.4.1 release:
"Added an option to sort the static pages that are added to a site's menu (see {plg_menu_elements} in header.thtml) by id, label, title, or date"
Would that do?
Swimmingly. I'll check CVS too before posting next time then.
Cheers,
Euan.

is there a way to do this with 1.39?
ie, some sort of hack.

i know i just posted asking for a hack for 1.39
anyway, i got a method working for anyone who's still on 1.39
it seems it orders them alphabetically by ID.
so, if you give them a unique id...ie replace the geeklog generated one....with a numeric followed by your name for the page, you can order them.
ie.
1staticpagefirst
2staticpagesecond
or somethign like that.
