I recently upgraded from 1.3.8srl4 to 1.3.9, but the gl version says 1.3.8srl4 still what could have happened?
Also When I click submit news and post some news click submit it says Specified upload directory, articles is not a valid directory
File Upload Errors:
What could that mean and how do I fix it?
Thanks,
Crissy

Change the version number in config.php

Make sure the images/articles directory exists and is writable.

It's not there, should I download the geeklog 1.3.9 and post that folder to the site?
Thanks,
Crissy

There's nothing special about this directory - simply create it (and make it writable).

I am still getting that error. When you say writeable you mean write, write, write or do you mean read and execute too?
Thanks.

Our recommendation (see the installation instructions) is 775, i.e. r-w-x, r-w-x, r-w. And if that doesn't work, make it 777 (3 times r-w-x).
