I just posted this on the geeklog-devel mailing list yesterday:
Just wanted to mention that I've installed Geeklog 1.3.9sr1 on my old iBook, running PHP 5.0.0 and MySQL 4.1.3-beta. Haven't done much with it yet, but so far no apparent problems

Error reporting must be not be set to E_STRICT, though. E_STRICT will produce a million warnings.

My hoster just updated to PHP5 and some strange things have been happening with my site ... it appears to be the extra plugins I added in though ... download, chatterbox, file management, faq manager. No links in user prefs or admin boxes anymore ... blank line or just a number eg: (7)

Hi Dirk: I am sadly/foolishly still using 1.3.9 (it is so heavily customized and integrated with a virtual journal that I can't upgrade) and I never got around to fixing the missing admin links. So, I went to the FAQ on this topic. The problem is that the link to the fix - available from CVS - no longer goes anywhere. I would appreciate it if you could help me out here.
Thank you.

Fixed the link. However, you should really start looking into upgrading. Some of the security issues that were discovered since 1.3.9 was released (over 3 and a half years ago) are probably also lurking in 1.3.9 ...
