I am running a couple of gl sites off of one serve account. I currently have my 'main' site, www.inspireministries.com redirected with a 'refresh' statement in the public_html folder to a subdirectory where the gl files reside.
Questions:
1. Is there any real advantage to having the gl stuff in the root directory?
2. Is the 'refresh' statement in the root index enough or should I permanently redirect?
Just wondering?

Apart from it not being the most elegant solution, there shouldn't really be any problem with this.
Assuming, of course, that the files the reside outside of Geeklog's public_html directory are not accessible via a URL, as that would be a security issue ...

Thanks, Dirk!
I don't think I will ever be accused of providing the most elegant solution to anything -- brute force seems to be much faster!
