Hi gang.
I was wondering whether you guys can help point it out to me whether this is user error or apps error but I just finish migrating my GL from old machine (1.3.8sr2) to a provider's server (GL1.3.9). I did the latest Gallery installation and everything seems to work fine except one thing. The Gallery is not longer inside the GL block. Instead it become it's own webpage. Not sure whether my explanation make any sense.
But my question is whether this is the known issue, or pilot error.
Please help. Many thanks.

I've just installed the latest Gallery yesterday. It went flawlessly. (Only the Random Photo Block took some time). Did you use the 'embed in Geeklog' feature to install it??

*needles rant*
If people just would give the version number instead of the vague term "latest"..
*sigh*

i have the same problem and i did used the (now built in) Embedded App settings.
$gallery->app->embedded_inside_type = "GeekLog";
$gallery->app->geeklog_dir = "/home/itcow/domains/itcow.com/public_html";
but somehow it seems "broken". The Random photo blk works though. i was thinking of trying out the Watermarking features thus i upgraded. I upgraded standalone Gallery and it worked for the upgrading and watermarking but seems the integration got problems?

i just upgraded to 1.3.9sr1 and had a problem with gallery (1.4.1)
it seams that the header is not getting read corectly
so far i have tracked the problem to lib-common , somewhere from line 783 to 1048 . after commenting it out and replacing it with the old code (1.3.8sr4)it now works fine .

I think it is more than the lib-common.php, I had GL1.3.9 and Gallery 1.4.3 running, when I upgraded to 1.4.3-pl2, then the intergration stopped working.

Ok, not sure why this worked, and I thought I tried it, but I just did the gallery install(fresh), chose the geeklog integrated during setup, went to my html_wrap folder, renamed wrapper.header and wrapper.footer, to anything, just so it doesnt call them and then it worked. I was originally using the moded wrapper files from squatty, but it seems they arent needed anymore and it works out of the box so to speak, just gotta delete/rename those 2 files so that it uses the wrapper.header/footer.default files.
Someone else try it.
I think I figured why it wasnt working too.
The wrapper.header file is looking for:
$GALLERY_EMBEDDED_INSIDE == 'geeklog'
But the wrapper.header.default file is looking for:
$GALLERY_EMBEDDED_INSIDE_TYPE == 'GeekLog'
Its looking at different variables for the Geeklog value and in the config.php, during gallery config, its makes a variable $GALLERY_EMBEDDED_INSIDE_TYPE == 'GeekLog', not the first one.
So just delete the 2 wrapper.header/footer files and it should work.

Thanks Zerbe. It worked! Just renamed then deleted after confirming wrapper.header and wrapper.footer.
