I've got the latest visitor stats plugin from gplugs, and the latest version of GeekLog (1.3.9).
Sadly, either with the upgrade of GL or the upgrade of the stats plug-in, it's stopped showing anonymous visitor stats. Is this a misconfiguration on my part (I've looked), or an easily remedied problem?

I had the same problem on one of my sites. Check the gl_ignore_user table. Make sure you don't have a) Anonymous or b) empty rows.

Huzzah! Squatty comes through again! there was a blank row in the table. (I was looking at the gl_visitorstats table, and never considered others...)

i'm also having problems with this. i recently upgraded the visitor stats plug in from an old glstats plugin and now anonymous stats, IP addresses and referrals are not showing at all. i checked the database and the gl_ignore_user table seems fine. nothing about anonymous users in the table. i double checked the IP tables and sure enough no info being saved for the IP addresses and referral sites.
any suggestions?

OK, i'm trying to uninstall the plugin. i was planning on deleting it and then reinstalling to see if that would help but when i try to uninstall it i get an MySQL error and won't finish uninstalling:
1064: You have an error in your SQL syntax. Check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'WHERE name = 'stats_name'' at line 1. SQL in question: SELECT value FROM WHERE name = 'stats_name'
any way to fix this so that i can successfully uninstall this plugin?
thanks.

OK, now. i uninstalled the plugin and then reinstalled it successfully but it's still not registering any referral sites as well as any IP addresses.
any help with this would greatly be appreciated!

I'm no Squatty, but I hope I can help.
I'd guess that your uninstall wasn't working because it should have issued a SQL statement "select something from something WHERE...." and it wasn't correctly mapping one variable to one of the "somethings", so it was going in blank.
And I'd guess you successfully uninstalled it, by deleting that line, or something.
So I'll guess that you didn't muck with any tables or any fields in those database tables.
In other words, I'll bet you still have a problem with a blank line or entry somewhere in one of the stats associated tables. (Or, if not a blank line, something with a disallowed escape sequence.) Have you checked the database, directly, using PHPMySQL or something like that?
If not, you're welcome to e-mail me (I think you can do that directly from my "author" link above), and I'll check my installation for other clues when I get home (and after I put my kid to bed.)
