Hi,
I'm working on my site's navigation. My site is running on geeklog, having both articles and static pages. Most of it's users are almost illiterate when it comes to using computers, so I would like to provide as simple navigation as possible.
What I would like to do would be to create a block containing simple navigation. The problem is trying to keep the navigation current - telling people where thay are, that is.
I would need to detect the page the user is at. This is what is done at the moment in the geeklog Sections -block (If you go to Security-section, there is no link to security section in the sections-block.) I'd like to expand this feature: for example, if a person goes to the site's "contact information"-static page, I'de like to disable the link from the navigation, thus telling user where he/she is. (the idea is from a list apart, check http://www.alistapart.com/articles/keepingcurrent/)
Php is the solution, I guess. But as I'm not a wizard (not even close) I'd need some help here. How to detect the current page?

Have you tried the new blockmenu plug-in from Jannetta?. Do a forum search for 'blockmenu' and you'll find more info
