How do you remove the menu item (Forum) from the header? With Static Pages it is easy with the Add to Menu checkbox.
Thanks for any replies

Forum Plugin Question

It may appear to be similar but it's not. Thats a particular function to create links to staticpages. Plugins can use a GL API to create a link (single link) to the plugins main page. For the SP, there is no single main page but links to individual pages - thats it's purpose as designed.
In the theme's header.thtml there is a template variable called {plg_menu_elements}. The main lib-common function COM_siteHeader calls every installed plugin to see if they have a link to add. If the plugin function exists - it's added. The final agregated list is then returned and shown in the header.
You have a few choices:
1) Remove the template variable and all plugin links will now show
2) Comment out the plugin function in the plugins function.inc file. For the forum, this is called plugin_getmenuitems_forum
3) Change the forum label to '' so that no real word is shown. In the plugins main language file > $LANG_GF00[pluginlabel]
I think there are actually about 50 posts on this item.
