Hello,
Sometimes - not always, when I visit my website - www.PolishTrainer.com - the left and top part only shows, but the right and center parts do not.
What could be the problem?
it never used to be like that.

There may be an error, but you're not seeing it because PHP may be configured not to display error messages.
Also, when that happens, have a look at Geeklog's error.log and your webserver's error_log file to see if they recorded anything.
bye, Dirk

Dear Dirk,
Thanks for the message. The geeklog error log is not showing anything really.
What else can I do. Its very strange. SOmetimes its working fine and 1 out of 10 times its not working....I cant pin point the reason.
What I can say is: My previous geeklog site files and database was manually transfered into another geeklog installation.
Would any concent of the database screw up the layout ?

I checked the website log and there was a 404 error saying that one pic was not there when asked for.
the pic link was called from the index.php file.
I have added the pic to the images folder so that the error will not display again.
Could that have caused the problem?

It didnt fix the problem. When I look at the html source for hte page when the main page is not viewed...the page is cut off at this point:
after here there is nothing.....
what would prevent the code from working right after the start of content area?

As I said above, make sure your PHP is configured to display error messages.

Dirk,
When using geeklog, how do you set PHP so that it displays the error messages?

You need to configure php...not Geeklog. Edit your php.ini file and set your error variables as follows:
error_reporting = E_ALL
display_errors = On
You will need to re-start your webserver after saving the updates to php.ini.

Try updating lib-common.php:
Chnage:
error_reporting(E_ERROR | E_WARNING | E_PARSE | E_COMPILE_ERROR);
To:
error_reporting(E_ALL);
Not sure if this will work?

It did not report eny errors when I looked at the site adn the left side showed only.
My guess is that the main content is somehow not called....
Any ideas?

ITs really strange.
When I first access the page, the main content does not show. When I hit refresh - it comes perfectly fine, as though some variable had to be set to true in order for the main content to be shown.
Can anyone help??????
Paul

What browser do you use? Does it effect all themes? What's the url for your site?
