I installed the Group Access Chk tool and am trying to fix up my site so that only Logged-in Users can submit stories. I have also given them Story Admin privileges so that these trusted users can add photographs.
Unfortunately now all Logged-in users are unable to submit a story. They get an error, "Sorry, you do not have access to the story administration page." Only admins seem to be able to submit stories.
The only users who are able to post are those belonging explicitly to a Story Admin group. However obviously Story
Admin and Logged-in Users have identical rights as shown here:
Logged-in Users - (story.edit) (story.moderate) (story.submit)
Story Admin - (story.edit) (story.moderate) (story.submit)
So, what is the problem, then?
Tim

Do they get this message instead of the Admin's story editor or do they only get it when they try to save the story?
In the latter case, it's probably your topic permissions.

Dirk, thanks for responding. The rejection occurred when a user clicked the "Submit" button. And you are correct: all my topics were set to Story Admin. I changed all of them to Logged-in Users and it seems to work now.
I do get an error after clicking "Contribute" as a guest: 1064: You have an error in your SQL syntax. Check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near '' at line 1 However this is no biggie and I'll try to deal with it.
