I have the Menu plugin 1.6.1 installed and working fine. I have added the User and Admin blocks to be included in one menu using this plugin and disabling the default separate blocks that come by default.
I just realized though when I do this, under the User menu, there is now an additional "Comment Preferences" that shows up, but clicking it reveals that this is identical to the "Preferences" that is already there.
The link for "Preferences" looks like this:
/usersettings.php?mode=preferences
and the link for "Comment Preferences" looks like this:
/usersettings.php?mode=comments
This is obvioulsy redundant and confusing.
How would I hide this "Comment Preferences"?

I figured it out myself!
Go to geeklog dir > plugins > menu > functions.inc
In functions.inc, under function MNU_userMenu():
just delete:
$T->set_var( 'option_url', $_CONF['site_url'] . '/usersettings.php?mode=comments' );
$T->set_var( 'option_label', $LANG01[63] );
$T->set_var( 'option_count', '' );
$retval .= $T->parse( 'item', 'option' );
