My Visitor Statistics Plugin is now ready for distribution. It provides complete website visitor reporting and tracking.
Features:
- On each page access it records: userid, username, user_agent, IP, host, browser type, computing platform, date and time, page viewed, referer, request type, and query_string.
- You can drill through all the report pages until you get to the individual accesses behind the statistics.
- Nearly all summary numbers are click-able.
- All URLs are click-able.
- Whenever a story, comment, or static page is displayed the title is displayed not the URL.
- These titles are click-able so that you can go directly to them.
- You trace every click of each of your visitors and their path through the website.
- You can associate users to IPs.
- The privilege system allows you to open up the statistics viewer to some or all of your users.
- You can open up non-sensitive portions of the statistics to anonymous users.
Because of the nature and volume of information collected, I must insist that you notify your visitors that you are collecting this information. To this end a default privacy policy is installed and added to the menu system. I would encourage you to review this policy and adapt it to your site.
There are two ommissions from the statistics package that I have not included and do not intend to add. This is an oportunity for some else to extend this package.
- A Visitor stats block would be easy to craft -- all the information is there
- I did not add graphs, because of the problem of standardization
If anyone wants to provide these addons I will distribute them with my package.
stats_1.0_1.3.6.tar.gz[*1] is available from my website The Pigstye[*2] .
Enjoy

Because of some issues that Danny at
Squatty.com[*3] pointed out with the way I handled anonymous users I have revised the capture function in my stats plugin. (It caused problems with some Blocks and other addons.) You can find the revised functions.inc that contains this function
here[*4] .
I always love the brave souls who are the first adopters.

I found a problem with my stats plugin. There was a variable collision that caused problems if you used the block editor. You can find the corrected functions.inc that contains the fix
here[*5] .
