I can't figure this one out. I tried to do a search for Lord of the Rings or even July 15, it's not any two or more combos that won't return anything, it's just certain phrases. The advanced search page won't even turn up if the query is invalid.
I tried the same search here (gl.net) and received a response.. at least it went to the advanced page.
It's strange because I just searched for other text that I know exists and it came back and then I tried Two Towers and it came back blank.
the site in question is www.eyecravedvd.com

This is really weird. Those terms which produce blank pages on your site work fine on mine. Other terms work okay on yours.
Your terms in the URL appear in a different order. Yours ends in query and mine starts in query. Are you using 1.3.7sr2 or an earlier version?

I'm using the latest version. 1.3.7sr2. I'll get the tarball again and re-upload the search feature. Hopefully, that will fix it.

I just finished uploading search.php from 1.3.7sr2 tarball and I get this string in my address bar
http://www.eyecravedvd.com/search.php?mode=search&type=all&query=two+towers&cmd=_xclick&business=shane@eyecravedvd.com&item_name=EyeCraveDVD.com+Donations&item_number=1&no_note=1¤cy_code=CAD&tax=0
I have a donation block on the left side and that's part of the code from it that's showing up in the search.

I've removed the donation block and it still doesn't work. I get a blank page back and there is nothing in the error.log. I'm at a complete loss why some stuff works and some doesn't.
Try searching for Two Towers (doesn't work) vs. Finding Nemo (works). It makes no sense.

OK, now I've removed the error_reporting(0); from my lib-common.php and this is the error I get
Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in c:hostingwebhost4lifemembereyecravesystemlib-plugins.php on line 338

Hmmm, maybe one of the plugins is the problem. Why don't you deinstall them then reinstall one at a time. After each one, try a search on one of the bad terms which produces a blank page.

I removed a static page, which I thought might be the problem. Now, when I search it keep getting this message regardless of the length of the query.<br>
<br>
<B>Your query string should have at least 3 characters. Please try again.</b>

It kinda sounds like when you removed static pages, you either left something or removed too much. If I was in your shoes, I would start with a fresh copy of Geeklog and make sure the search works okay on it first. If so, then I would start adding plugins back in until I found which one was causing the problem.
Once you narrow down who the culprit is please report it to the respective bug list so it gets fixed.

I didn't have to go as far as installing fresh GL code. I just disabled each plugin and activated them one at a time till I found the culprit. Turns out it FAQMAN.
I've posted the problem over at Blaine's site hoping he'll be able to help me.

Well, good for you. Hopefully Blaine can figure out what is causing those weird search results.
