Hi i got some questions that are indirectly related to geeklog. i need help neverhteless..
I need to find out how can I make apache to display a custom 404 message, if there is no index.html or index.php... it has to apply to my folder only and not the whole server. Shellscript?
Also i need to protect some folder from other users on the server, like the /home directory... but one folder.
I don't ave root, and i just want there changes to my folder
any help would be AWESOME

For the 404 page, create a file called .htaccess (note the dot) in your document root and put this line into it (for Geeklog's 404 page):
ErrorDocument 404 /404.php
bye, Dirk

Hmm... that did not seem to work, how about a shellscript to place an indexfile in every folder that does not have one...
