Are there any hacks or plugins for the comments? Looking at other blogs they seem to have better comments. This is the only area where my site is lacking and I just aint savvy enough to figure it out myself. Has anyone done any work in this area? Thanks lots!scroff

You're not very clear. In what way do you think the other "blogs" comments are "better"?

I'm not the author of the original post, but I can tell you what *I* wish the GL comments could do...
1. Let me see the original post & comments while I'm composing my comment! It's super-aggravating to not be able to refer back to the original post while commenting. Why not just put it below the "post a comment" block?
2. Let users edit their comments, just like on any BB/forum setup. Again, it's aggravating to be unable to do this.
3. Use some kind of BBcode for including HTML-like snippets in the middle of a comment. It's a pain to have to go back and add <p> tags to the whole comment just because you want to bold or italicize one word, or include one link.
4. Maybe include avatars. Would blur the line between comments and forums, but that's fine with me.
Peace,
Rich

Well, I guess like on a blogger board where the comments are in a second window, leaving you free to see the original post as well as the site itself, and where you can scroll down all the comments before finally posting your own. I guess "better" wasn't such a good choice of words. I am clueless, (but trying to learn) about php, so I'm not even sure if what I'm asking can be done.
Thanks
