Hello,
I can't edit (and subsequently delete) a poll.
I get a message error
1064: You have an error in your SQL syntax near '' at line 1
error.log displays
Wed 12 Feb 2003 08:18:27 PM CET - 1064: You have an error in your SQL syntax near '' at line 1 SQL in question: SELECT username FROM gl_users WHERE uid =
Does anybody has an idea how to fix this?
In advance, thanks
JC

What version of Geeklog? It almost like the application doesn't think you are logged in but if that were the case you should have gotten a different error altogether. Can you isolate where that SQL is being called from (I know for a fact it is called all over with DB_getItem($_TABLES['users'],'username',"uid=$uid"
or something like that but I'd need to know which line of code is actually the culprit.
What may help is at the top of admin/block.php turn DB_setDebug(true) and at bottom add DB_setDebug(false) so that all the SQL is logged to the error.log which may help you figure that out.---The reason people blame things on previous generations is that there's only one other choice.

I am using Geeklog-1.3.7sr1
It happens only when trying to edit one poll (not all of them) logged as admin. The rest of all Admin functions are working fine...
I can't find the way to isolate where that SQL is called from...
Don't find DB_setDebug on the top of block.php...
Any clue?

Other element...I tried to edit the bad poll with the moderator (after allowing to do so in the user Manager) and I get Access denied -"You are trying to access a poll that you don't have rights to. This attempt has been logged."
Is there a way to force delete that corrupted poll?
Thanks for your valuable help.

If you gave moderator the proper permissions and couldn't delete it with that id, then probably the only way to get rid of the corrupted poll is to do it manually in the database using phpmyadmin or an equivalent software.
