I have a few questions about how to sort things in GL.
How can I sort:
1. the order in which articles will appear on a page?
2. the items in the Admin only block?
3. the items in the User Functions block?
Any help would be appreciated.

Short answer: You can't change the order of any of them.
Stories are always sorted by the posting date (with the exception of the featured story which will stay on top until it's replaced with another featured story or until you change it back to a normal story).
The order of the items in the Admin and User Functions menus are hard-coded (in lib-common.php).

Thanks, I will move stuff around in lib-common.php.
Is there any thought of giving more control over where things are posted? It would be great to have page and order level control.

I am currently in the process of writing a running commentary on a PBEM game. As the game is still very much alive, I have been unable to post the stories, and they are piling up far from prying eyes. When I do make them readable, I intend to give each story a specific "post date" seperated by perhaps one minute. That way I can determine the order of the stories and have them show up nice and sorted. You don't have to set the date to the future, so you can retro-actively fix it - unless you have lots of stories. Tweaking the "post date" is much more attractive to me than hacking lib-common.php, as future upgrades of GL are sure to overwrite it, and keeping track of various changes could be a daunting task.
GL is very flexible if you use the parameters creatively.
