Dear all, I would like to be able to have my Geeklog users to post stories automatically. I switched off the submission queue, but I would like to change the default topic and whether it shows on the frontpage as default and especially the rights to that story, anonymous users should not have access.
Thanks in advance for your help.

Simply change the topic permissions so that a topic is not readable by anonymous users (uncheck the "Anonymous" check box in the topic editor). Then anonymous users won't see this topic.
There is currently no way to set a default topic for new story submissions.

Dirk, thanks for your help. If an ordinary user submits a story he does not have an option to allow or disallow anonymous access. Only the admin has those options. I would like to have my users to submit their stories automatically without the approval of a story admin. So how do I change the default permissions on a submitted story for ordinary users?

The default permissions for a story are the permissions of the topic.
So if the topic is set up without access for anonymous users, any story posted under that topic (by a logged-in user, with the submission queue switched off) will use those permissions and will therefore not be visible to anonymous users either.

Clear, thank you very much, Dirk, it works as you told. I even fiddled with that myself before asking for help, but as I switched off a lot of things for anonymous users, I did not see it did the trick.
Great stuff
