I've been running geeklog on one of my sites for some time now (it's great!). We just got a new server, and I need to transfer the site over.
Can anyone point the way to step-by-step instructions on how to do this? I have an sql dump from the site, but am unsure of how to continue.
Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance!

There's not much to it, really.
Just install Geeklog on the new server. But instead of running the install script, you simply load your backup into the database. That's all.

Another way, which I use to test any new layout issues at home, is to just download the hole website to my own website (locally), and remember to change the following :
In config.php
$_CONF['path']
$_CONF['site_url']
$_DB_host
lib-common.php
require_once (on line 65)
Then use phpmyadmin to make the SQL Dump and import it on my own MySQL server.
Good luck
Joey

YOu may need to be a bit more specific. Are you trying to figure out how to restore the DB on the new system? If so you need to connect to your database on the new system and run "source /location_of_your_backup_file;" or something to that extent.
