Hi. Im desparate now. I found out that there is no particular variables in geeklog to easily contumize the appearance of search results. The template says: {data}..ok thats good but i want to display each item in separate table with 1 column and 3 rows. First row - date, 2nd- Title and Introtext, 3rd - story url. I want each row to have its own background..Dirk or others is it possible to extract spesific variables from search.php..like $data['date']? and then to include into template? thanks

Well, it's certainly possible but would require some hacking in search.php.
Have a look at function searchstories() in that file. You will see the 3 calls to set_var('data') which set the currently used columns. You would need to modify those to set the content you want instead.
bye, Dirk
