hello everyone, is there a tutorial that someone has made as far as how to edit the thtml files to make a theme? i have a specific look in mind but its very different from any themes i've seen so far. first, i'd like to have the user/pass login outside of the blocks and at the top of the page. has anyone else done this or seen a theme that has?

There's a file "theme.how-to" in your docs folder - that should get you started. Also, this comment[*1] should help you understand how themes work.

bye, Dirk

Two pieces of advice:
  1. Plagerize mercilously.
  2. Crash - Burn - Learn.
I've created my own theme by:
  • Tinkering with the installed themes to understand what each .thtml file does, and
  • Copying the features that I liked most from each theme into my own.

It's not fast. It's not easy. But it does give you an excellent overview as to why GL works the way it does!
