Subject: Member Blogs

I am trying to set this blog shtuff up for my wife, and ran accross Geeklog - I must say that I love the features on this thing! However, my wife is looking for one specific feature in that every user who registers needs to get there own blog (section??) so that any content they publish will show in there own page (section??) (Ex; http://blah.com/username or usernamp.php)
Does anyone have any suggestions about this - the setup needs to be automatic when users register on the site.
Has anyone done this?

So if a user posts an article to the site, should it go into the queue to be included on the main home page or only in their blog page?
A starting poing would be to copy index.php to userblog.php and then edit the SQL that pulls the the stories from the database to pull based on their ID.
That make sense? If you have PHP skillz it shouldn't be too hard!
The reason people blame things on previous generations is that there's only one other choice.

Well, what she is shooting for is this:
A user registers on her site.
That user can then submit Stories either to a section or his/her personal area (blog)
Then, in the sections area, simply have the general site sections list and have a users link that lists all members personal area blogs in a click-able fashion so they in a sense get there own blog site

how about creating a block for each user and have it show only on the user blog page. This way a user clicks User Blogs from the Sections list and when they get to the User Blog page a Block with users-name exists for them with all the topics they individually want. the administrator would have to set up the initial block and maybe a new group for each user so only that user could access it. Second thought, this idea is impossible to administer.
