Yes that is a another plan.

There would be a standard config-set page for each plugin, that would dictate what to ask.
I am not sure of the best way to do it -
My idea here would be:

a set-config page that would list the fields, default values, and a unique_id for each field. 
There would be a corresponding libsetconfig written by the developer.
The libsetconfig would contain one class (or function but I think the class is better) which would be:
setconfig() and take in an array of the values from the fields specified in the set-config page. (eg. $array["some_config"] = value;)

So this would allow a set-config page like this:

the HTML generated by the plugin repository would be:

<input type="text" name="set_color9257825" value="0" />

When the form is filled and submitted, the plugin repository would then get the post values for the ids (eg. $_POST['set_color9257825']), put them into an array ($array['set_color9257825'] = value;) and then call the libsetconfig function or class with the array as the first parameter.

l.run($array);

- How does that sound? Do you guys have a better idea? Do you like the idea of forced standards?

And @ LWC the repository will allow deletion, addition, etc so that will be an issue of the past ;)
