A set of nice features -- performance hit?

Something like this could easily be done with a PHP block (now in geeklog 1.3 CVS tree). We can have Geeklog come with a number of blocks that can be enable/disabled (not yet implemented) so that way you have a slick way of including/removing such blocks.

Right now the priorites of the project are simple, add plugin support (95% done), improved security (95%) done and themes/templates (Mark, %90?).

After that it will be a process of improving the plugin API, improving the core GL codebase (move to OO framework) and then adding some more bells and whistles.
